Taking a few shots of The Sloop Inn & a little video blog inside with the staff has taken me right back to the days as a teenager fishing out of St.ives . I remember it was a particularily hard winter around at Newlyn where the St.ives boats used to go to catch the winter Mackerel so it was great to be offered a role in a brand new film as an extra . Aptly i was a fisherman & my 15 seconds of glory came as i walked down Smeatons Pier carrying Crabpots & the lovely Alec Guiness smiled as i walked by !
