I remember it was a particularily hard winter around at Newlyn where the St.ives boats used to go to catch the winter Mackerel so it was great to be offered a role in a brand new film as an extra . Aptly i was a fisherman &amp; my 15 seconds of glory came as i walked down Smeatons Pier carrying Crabpots &amp; the lovely Alec Guiness smiled as i walked by !
